Greg Leeper named Vice President for Strategy and Online Education

North Central University President Scott Hagan has announced that Greg Leeper will be filling the role of the newly created position of Vice President for Strategy and Online Education. “We are thrilled that Greg Leeper has accepted this new role,” Hagan said. “He brings a wealth of experience and perspective to this role and we are excited to add him to the Senior Leadership Team.”

Leeper served most recently as Director of Institutional Effectiveness & Research, and prior to that was Dean of Students. Leeper also serves as Assistant Professor of Leadership studies. He has served at North Central since 2011. Prior to his arrival at NCU, he served in a variety of roles at Trinity International University in suburban Chicago, including Associate Dean of Students, Director of Leadership Development, and Head Baseball Coach, while also designing and teaching courses in theology, ministry, and college readiness.

Innovation, strategy, and effectiveness

In his new role, Leeper is responsible for strategy and innovation, which includes fostering a culture of innovation, facilitating the strategic planning and implementation processes, and assessing the effectiveness of the university. In addition, he oversees our online education division, working collaboratively with academic deans. He also develops and executes strategic initiatives, along with collaborating on strategic educational partnerships.

“I’m honored and excited to join the Senior Leadership Team and President Hagan in the stewardship of this historic and dynamic university,” Leeper said. “Executing on strategic objectives, fostering innovation, and ensuring a quality and accessible education are vital components to the success of any institution in today’s higher education landscape, and I look forward to serving in these key areas.”

Leeper is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, Policy and Development: Higher Education from the University of Minnesota. He holds a Master of Arts in Community and Culture from Trinity International University and a B.A. from Evangel University.

Outside of North Central, Leeper is involved as a citizen leader and currently serves as vice chair of the Human Rights and Diversity Commission for the City of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He has led several cross-cultural trips focused on business and ministry in Zambia and Uganda, and serves as a retreat faculty and youth convention speaker for the Salvation Army in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Leeper is married to Hillary Leeper, a North Central University faculty member in biblical and theological studies. They have two children, Evangeline (6) and Jacob (4).
