As North Central University enters an exciting new season of growth and renewed focus under the leadership of President Dr. Darnell K. Williams, Sr., we are pleased to reintroduce our university leadership team, now called the President’s Cabinet.
This team of committed leaders brings extensive experience, deep faith, and a shared dedication to the mission of training Spirit-empowered leaders for the church and world.
Dr. Darnell K. Williams, Sr., D.Min.
President
Dr. Williams became the ninth president of NCU in May 2025, bringing more than 30 years of leadership experience in ministry, education, and business. A passionate visionary and longtime advocate for Spirit-led leadership, he previously served as Associate Professor of Pastoral Studies and Executive Director of the Preaching Institute for City Transformation at NCU. Dr. Williams is the first African American president in NCU’s history.
Dr. Desiree Libengood
Provost
Dr. Libengood brings thoughtful leadership and a heart for academic excellence to her role as Provost. Formerly Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs, she oversees the university’s academic and athletics programs and leads efforts to enhance spiritual formation, faculty development, student development and student success across campus.
Kate Ketterling
Vice President of Human Resources and Operations
Kate Ketterling provides strategic leadership for North Central’s human resources, facilities, and operational systems. With a steady hand and deep care for people, she helps ensure the university remains a safe, well-supported place for students, faculty, and staff to thrive.
Bethany Harshbarger
Vice President of Enrollment
As Vice President of Enrollment, Bethany Harshbarger leads student recruitment, admissions, marketing, financial aid, and engagement strategies that support enrollment growth and mission fit. Passionate about seeing students flourish, Bethany plays a vital role in welcoming future leaders to the NCU community.
Ron Meyer
Chief Financial Officer 
Ron Meyer brings extensive executive financial experience to his role as CFO. He supports NCU’s financial planning and resource stewardship with wisdom and clarity, helping ensure the long-term sustainability of the university.
