Minnesota Business magazine celebrates NCU entrepreneur

Minnesota Business celebrates NCU student as young entrepreneur North Central student Logan Ketterling, a senior Business Administration major and founder of Urbain, was recognized in the August issue of Minnesota Business magazine as one of their 2016 Young Entrepreneurs.

After being a style blogger and clothing stylist, Ketterling founded Urbain, a handmade jewelry and accessories company that combines storytelling and fashion.

Ketterling tapped into crowdfunding to raise awareness and financial backing, but at first fell short of his goal. “Entrepreneurship is not easy,” says Ketterling, “It requires a lot of knocking on doors and talking to anyone who’s willing to listen.”

After local news outlet FOX 9 picked up his story, Ketterling was able to exceed his crowdfunding campaign goal in 24 hours. Successfully launched, Urbain now features jewelry products made from raw materials of historic locations in Minnesota.

Minnesota Business magazine featured Ketterling and Urbain in both the July and August issues. He was highlighted among their group of Young Entrepreneurs under the age of 35 as an emerging leader, building Minnesota’s future economy.
