DIVERSITY IN COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

North Central University Unity in Diversity Scholarship Announcement

In commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, North Central University proudly unveils the Unity in Diversity Scholarship, a beacon of our commitment to fostering a community where unity thrives through the celebration of diversity. Dr. King once eloquently stated, “We must learn to live together as brothers or perish as fools,” echoing the essence of our scholarship.

Our scholarship, encapsulated by the mantra “Educate, Embrace, Empower: Initiating Unity in Diversity,” transcends the conventional boundaries of financial aid. It is a celebration of the unique narratives each student brings to our vibrant community.

In the spirit of Dr. King’s insights on education, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education,” we invite individuals who seek a holistic educational experience that values not only intellectual growth but also character development.

At NCU, unity is not synonymous with uniformity. We cherish and celebrate individuality, fostering an environment where diverse backgrounds, varied faith journeys, and unique histories converge harmoniously. Our vision, inspired by Revelation 7:9, aspires to create a diverse and unified community akin to a congregation where people from every tribe, nation, and tongue come together in worship.

For those eager to contribute to and thrive in a community that treasures these values, the Unity in Diversity Scholarship offers a gateway. This four-year scholarship, providing up to $5,000 in tuition assistance, will be awarded to five new traditional undergraduate students annually.

We are so excited to launch this scholarship, where unity and diversity intertwine to create an educational experience like no other. Together, let’s shape a future that celebrates the richness of our differences.
