It is my pleasure to announce that Professor LaToya Burrell (JD, MBA) has accepted my offer to serve in the permanent role of Dean of Graduate Education and Accreditation. Since February, she has given excellent interim leadership to the College of Graduate and Professional Education, while continuing to serve in her role as Dean of Academic Assessment and Accreditation and Associate Professor of Business. Over these past months, it became clear that Professor Burrell was the individual to lead our graduate studies area into the future as we expand and deepen our academic offerings.
In this new restructured role, Professor Burrell will give leadership to the College of Graduate and Professional Education and the area of university accreditation. She will also retain her appointment as Associate Professor in the College of Business and Technology, teaching a reduced course load and advising her current students.
Professor Burrell’s impact at North Central University during her time here has been significant, and I am excited that her impact will be extended and deepened as she serves with distinction in this expanded role. Please join me in sharing your congratulations with her.
