Step 1: Complete the Online Application
Get started with an online application, which includes a $25 application fee. You will need to create an account to follow up on your application status. If you haven’t already communicated with an admissions counselor, a member of our team will contact you soon.

Step 2: Send Us Your High School or Homeschool Transcript or GED Scores
High School Transcripts
Send us an official transcript from your high school. A 2.5 cumulative GPA is required for regular admission. We may request an academic essay from applications with GPAs below 2.5 and consider them for admission on a provisional basis (a minimum GPA of 2.2 is required). Please also send a final high school transcript after graduation.
Use this High School Transcript Request Form (pdf) to contact your high school and request that they send an official copy of your transcript to the NCU Admissions office.
GED Scores
If you have taken the GED and do not have a high school diploma, you can still apply! If you have completed the GED, please forward a copy of your scores to the Admissions Office.
Homeschool Transcripts
As a homeschool student, you have a few different options to demonstrate that you’ve completed your state’s requirements for high school graduation. You and your family are responsible for knowing the requirements for your state. Proof of graduation is traditionally provided through a high school transcript.
At NCU, we offer three options for homeschool students to meet this requirement:
1. General Educational Development Test (GED): Some states require that a homeschool student take the GED. If your state requires a GED, then you need to request your GED scores be sent to us from the GED testing center.
2. Student Transcript (provided by outside source): If you’re affiliated with a homeschool program, academy, or consortium who creates your transcript, request that they forward a copy of your official transcript to NCU. If you’re part of an organization that doesn’t provide a student transcript, your family will be responsible to provide a transcript as stated in the step below.
3. Student Transcript (provided by family): If your high school program has been customized by your family, you’ll need to provide NCU with a detailed transcript. If sending a homeschool transcript, the person in charge of the homeschool program is the one to create the transcript. Please use our Homeschool Transcript Form (docx) as a template.
The following information is required on your transcript:
- Signature of the person(s) in charge of the home school
- Name of each class
- Grade for each class
- Credits for each class
- Classes organized by grade/year
