Common questions about PSEO

How much does PSEO cost?

The State of Minnesota pays for the cost of tuition and the university provides your textbooks. Any textbooks not returned at the end of the semester will be charged to the student.

How many credits can I take each semester?

You can take a maximum of 18 credits.

What courses can I take through PSEO?

Students are able to choose any course that is on the PSEO Approved Course List. A student can take a course that is not on this list, but will be billed at the current tuition rate. PSEO is not an option during the summer term.

Is on-campus housing available?

Yes! A student must be entering their senior year of high school, be at least 17 years of age, have a 3.5 GPA, and be able to take 12 on-campus credits to be eligible to live on campus. Students in the residential on-campus PSEO program are responsible for all costs/fees associated with living on campus. These are not covered through the Minnesota PSEO program. Students must abide by the behavioral guidelines as delineated in the Student Guide and Responsibilities of Membership including the chapel requirements based on a freshman level status.

If eligible, students will be required to complete a mandatory interview as part of the housing process. You can apply for housing only after being admitted into the PSEO program.
