Men As Peacemakers (MAP) works with individuals, communities, and the systems within each community to end violence against women and children. From its origin, MAP has existed to engage men as partners in the prevention and intervention of gender-based violence, working towards a future where everyone feels they belong and can thrive. MAP is looking to hire a Men’s Engagement Specialist. The Men’s Engagement Specialist will directly engage men, young men, and boys, in prevention, intervention, and restorative work through weekly school-based programming, groups, mentorship, and interactive activities. This position requires a dynamic individual who can build authentic relationships with youth of all genders and men, facilitate culturally specific youth programming, and foster connections within the broader Duluth community. The Men’s Engagement Specialist will work across MAP’s program areas (Youth, Primary Prevention and Restorative Justice) to reduce isolation, prevent radicalization into harmful beliefs, and weave men and boys back into healthy, connected community.
