Support Your Student’s Education and Calling
As a parent or guardian, you have seen your student’s God-given talents and gifts in action. At North Central University, we value the care and support you have given to help a young adult prepare for the chapter ahead of them. Parents and guardians of prospective and current parents can play a big role in each student’s college experience and preparation for wherever God is calling them.
Bookmark these resources and information so you can stay connected and be there for them during this important time.

Helpful Information for Parents and Guardians
Learn About Financial Aid
There are several types of financial aid available to help your student pay for college, including scholarships, grants, work study, and loans. Learn more about types of aid available to NCU students.
Pay a Bill
As a parent, you may want to help your student pay tuition, buy textbooks, and manage other financial responsibilities. Learn more about student accounts at NCU.
Send Mail
Sending mail is a great way to help a student feel supported. Every residential NCU student is assigned a box number. This number, along with the student’s first and last name, needs to be on all mail and packages so we can get things to the right person. You can send mail using either of these two formats:
| Format 1: Student Name NCU #### 910 Elliot Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55404-1391 | Format 2: Student Name 910 Elliot Ave. NCU #### Minneapolis, MN 55404-1391 | Example (Format 1): Johnny Smith NCU 1234 910 Elliot Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55404-1391 |
More Student Mail Information
- We’ll forward a freshman’s mail to their box for 60 days after the start of a semester so you have some time to get used to the address format.
- After 60 days — November 1 for Fall Semester or March 1 for Spring Semester — any mail that doesn’t contain the student’s mailbox number will be returned.
- Students retain the same mailbox for the duration of their time at NCU.
- If a student decides to leave NCU, their box will be held for them for 1 year. If they return after 1 year, they’ll be assigned a new mail box number unless prior arrangements have been made.
If a student receives anything that requires a signature, we’ll sign for it. Here’s how our package system works:
- Mail and packages are delivered to NCU throughout the day (USPS, FedEx, UPS, other couriers).
- After a package is received, we’ll enter it into the school’s package system.
- Once it’s entered, an email will be sent to the student’s NCU email address notifying them of their package.
- The student can come to the Copying & Mailing Services office to pick up their package. They’ll need their ID card and the Package ID number from the email. They’ll sign for the package in the school’s system.

Emergency Management
The safety and security of every student, staff, and faculty member is a top priority. NCU has a dedicated team to keep our community safe. In the event of situations that may affect the safety of our community and campus, information and updates will be posted at northcentral.edu/emergency-management.
NCU is connected with the LiveSafe mobile safety app (available from the Apple App Store and Google Play) to help our community contact the NCU campus security and safety team in real time. Students, staff, and faculty can report safety hazards, virtually walk each other back to campus, share their location in an emergency, and more. This gives our community added peace of mind as we look out for each other’s well-being.
