Position purpose

Student Development Office Assistants provide front-facing customer service to students
and families at NCU and also provide support to Student Development staff. Office
Assistants serve the community by answering questions, maintaining the Student
Development office, representing the university to both students and staff, and working
on regular or seasonal projects, including, but not limited to, those described in the duties
and responsibilities listed below.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

(100%) Provide general Administrative support to the staff of the Student Development Office

  • Assigned job duties to be performed on a daily and/or weekly basis
  • Attending the Front Desk
  • Telephone Procedures
  • Scheduling Appointments and Appointment Calendar
  • Bulletin Boards
  • Forms & Policies
  • Taking Payments
  • Chapel Records
  • Room Unlocks and Key Tracking
  • General Upkeep of the Office & Student Development Spaces
  • Supportive Projects as Assigned by Office Coordinator
  • Other Tasks & Frequently Asked Questions

Required qualifications/skills

  • Currently enrolled student at NCU
  • Know the information stated in the Student Guide
  •  Be in good academic standing
  •  Ability to familiarize themselves with the front desk and its resources
  •  Be reliable and punctual
  •  Demonstrate basic customer service skills
  •  Assume job duties and responsibilities in the same manner as regular full-time
    employees. This includes communicating and acting in a professional manner
