about:

Dr. M. John-Patrick (“JP”) O’Connor joined the North Central University faculty in Fall 2020. He comes to NCU by way of Princeton, NJ, where he earned his PhD (’20) and MDiv (’15) at Princeton Theological Seminary. He has taught courses at Princeton Theological Seminary, The College of New Jersey, and Northwest University. His current book project explores the moral dimensions of the Gospel of Mark, especially in comparison to early Jewish and Greco-Roman biographies. Before attending seminary, he worked as a pastor at a church plant in Lakewood, Washington. A native of the Pacific Northwest, he loves the outdoors, running, and a good cup of coffee.
