If you are interested in enrolling as an undergraduate student, you’ve found the right place! This page will help you as you take the next steps to explore North Central University. We’re eager to get to know you and for you to get to know us.
Now that you’ve had a chance to explore NCU’s website, here are 4 actions you can take.
1. APPLY FOR ADMISSION
This is the first step in letting us know that you are interested in NCU. There’s no commitment to enroll and the application is free. The application gives us the important information about you so that we can prioritize you and make sure you know about special dates, deadlines, and opportunities. Take this first step and apply today!
2. SUBMIT YOUR TRANSCRIPT
Once we have your application, all we need to review you for admission is a copy of your transcript. Expect an admission decision soon after!
3. SCHEDULE A CAMPUS VISIT
You’ve probably explored our website and brochures and social media, but the best way to experience North Central is to come visit us in Minneapolis. Meet students and professors, sample the food in the dining hall, attend a chapel service, tour the dorms…this is your opportunity to picture yourself at North Central University and to get all your questions answered. And to help offset some of your travel expenses, every student who schedules an official campus visit will receive a $1,000 Visit Scholarship!
4. LIST NCU ON YOUR FAFSA
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is available beginning October of your Senior year. Simply add our school code (002369) and we’ll take it from there! If you’ve been accepted for admission, we can send your financial package out when we receive your FAFSA results. The FAFSA helps us determine what kind of federal and state aid you can receive along with any applicable need-based aid from NCU—in addition to your NCU Scholarships.
WHILE WE’RE ON THE TOPIC OF SCHOLARSHIPS…
North Central University is one of the most affordable accredited Christian colleges in the nation. Thanks to generous alumni and friends, we are able to offer significant scholarships. You may have received notification already that you qualify for an academic scholarship. To secure that scholarship all you need to do is apply for admission and submit your transcript. Once you’ve been accepted for admission the scholarship automatically posts to your account.
If you have not received that notification, then take those same two steps (submit your application and transcript) and we will automatically review you for an academic scholarship.
Then you can begin to pursue other NCU-specific scholarships (achievement, music, church match, etc.). Add on a $1,000 Visit Scholarship for visiting campus and a $1,000 Early Action Scholarship if you pursue Early Action Admission, and you’ll find North Central University to be remarkably affordable.
WHAT IS EARLY ACTION ADMISSION?
Every student who completes an application for admission by November 15 has the choice to opt in to Early Action Admission and receive a $1,000 Scholarship!
This is a non-binding option—there’s no obligation to commit after you’ve been notified. This offer is open to incoming freshmen and transfer students.
Apply by November 15 and submit your transcript and FAFSA. We will notify you of your admission decision and your financial package no later than December 15. Then if you choose to accept the offer of early action admission, submit your enrollment deposit by January 31 and the scholarship will post to your account.
