About:

  • Dr. Lon Flippo holds a Doctor of Ministry (DMIN) in Family Ministries, from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, a Master of Biblical Literature from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and a Master of Communication from Missouri State University. Dr. Flippo has been with North Central University since 2014. He is a published author and respected speaker in his field and has ongoing research in the areas of spiritual training of children and families.

    Credentialed in 1985 and ordained in 1987 with the Assemblies of God Lon pastored for over 30 years in a variety of roles. He has a passion for inspiring parents to pass their faith on to their children–and for providing information and insight to accomplish the task. You might like his first book, “Soul Survivor”, which takes a look at Lon’s life as an abandoned child or his second book “iParent”, (Parenting Prodigals and Children in the 21st Century). His third book, “Sepulcher”, is his first fictional novel. Other works include “Walking through the Ruins”, “The Satan Project”, and his first illustrated children’s book, “Flippo and the Miserable Meanies”.

    Dr. Lon Flippo hails from the plains of Kansas. He and his wife, Chris, have been married for over 35 years and have two children and three grandchildren.
