North Central’s Communication Arts: Journalism/Public Relations major will prepare you with the skills, knowledge, and practical training, you need to pursue a career as a journalist or writer. Along with the technical skills of journalism and public relations you’ll gain through hands-on experience both on and off campus—including interviewing, reporting, and news writing—you’ll grow in your understanding of ethics in journalism and a broad range of communication theories. My experience studying Journalism/PR at NCU has been so fruitful! I have gained so much knowledge in writing and have had great hands-on PR experience, as just a Sophomore. The professors have really helped me get the most out of my courses and time here.
