Position purpose

The purpose of the Assistant Weekend Supervisor is to assist the Weekend Supervisor with the Housekeeping Department’s part-time personnel, complete various special cleaning projects, and provide services for campus events.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Assist the Weekend Supervisor with the coordination and supervision of weekend housekeeping personnel
  • Conduct regular inspections of areas assigned to weekend personnel
  • Clean and maintain all hard floors and floor care equipment
  • Provide services needed for special events hosted by the university and external constituents
  • Fill a vacant position during the weekend shifts as needed
  • Provide back-up assistance for emergency calls

Required qualifications/skills

  • Currently enrolled student at NCU
  • Minimum of 1-2 years prior experience with the Housekeeping Department
  • Experience with auto-scrubbers is preferred but not required
  • Experience with carpet care is preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift/move 50-75lbs

Additional comments

  • Hiring timeline: 1-2 weeks from interview
  • Hours/week: 13 hours/week
  • Time: Saturday 7:45am-4:45p & Sunday 1:15pm-5:45pm
