Position Purpose

The position will be responsible for assisting the Director of Track and Field in organizing, preparing, and conducting individual and team practices, training and competition. You will be in charge of coaching hurdles and have full responsibility of those athletes at practice.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Candidates must be able to teach proper technique and skill development in various aspects of track and field.
  • Candidates should have a complete and thorough understanding of track and field and be able to instruct student-athletes in small group and one-on-one settings.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Education and experience

  • Previous coaching and/or playing experience on the college level is highly desired.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • This position requires well-developed communication skills, as well as strong time management and organizational skills.

Working conditions and frequency

Environmental Conditions

  • Ability to work weekends and evenings is required.
  • We have an indoor/outdoor season. Indoor practices are in the mornings or at night. Outdoor practices are from 4:00pm-9:00pm.
