Description of duties

The position, which is made possible through the NCAA Division III Ethnic Minority and Women’s Internship Grant, is designed to train and develop the skills, traits, and characteristics necessary for full-time success in an NCAA Division III setting. In addition to a full-time, entry-level salary, the grant provides $3,000 annually in professional development funding.

The successful candidate will lead the athletic department’s visual media efforts, which includes social media strategy and execution, operate as the primary sports information contact for one sport per season, and contribute to marketing and branding initiatives. As an assistant coach, the successful candidate will come alongside the current head coach to assist in all program functions, including game and practice planning, opponent scout, team logistics, recruiting, and student-athlete development.

75 percent of the position will be dedicated to the title of visual media manager, while the remaining 25 percent will be allocated for assistant coaching in one of the Rams’ eight women’s varsity sport programs.

Qualifications

Interested individuals are required to have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and must either be of ethnic minority, a female, or both. While not mandated, the ideal candidate has previous experience as a student-athlete.
