Prepare to be a ministry leader in a church setting while studying for a Church Leadership degree.

Why study Church Leadership at North Central University?

Students enrolled in the Church Leadership major at North Central University will have the opportunity to partner with local church leadership sites while preparing for a ministry role in a church setting. Not only will you receive intensive academic and personal training, forge mentoring relationships, but have avenues to practical ministry opportunities. This allows our students to gain a deeper understanding and passion for serving God as well as their neighbors and become equipped in skills as an effective preacher, leader, and mentor.

Classroom Experience That Matters

Due to North Central University’s tight-knit Christian community and spiritual environment, being located in the heart of Minneapolis allows for a multitude of opportunities to not only minister to the people around you, but to receive essential coaching and leadership from professors who deeply care about their students as godly and strategic future leaders and individuals.

Every professor brings to the classroom exceptional business experience. In addition to having wildly successful careers prior to teaching, our business professors are still actively engaged in the real world as consultants or business owners. This makes a huge difference in what is taught in North Central University business classrooms.

Program Highlights

Real World Experience

Students within the Church Leadership will have opportunities to intern with local ministries and churches while preparing to live out your postgraduate calling. Skills developed within an internship will not only equip, but allow for hands-on experience and networking connections within the field of church leadership.

Study Abroad

Students enrolled in the Pastoral Leadership program will have the opportunity to experience the Holy Lands on a 3-4 week tour. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will draw students further into the land of the Bible, enriching both the classroom knowledge and active learning. Activities such as snorkeling in the Red Sea, Jeep treks through the desert in Jordan, as well as partaking in an archeological dig in Beth Gurvin are a few of the adventures that students will have on this trip.

On Campus Ministry

There are a number of ways to get connected with on campus ministries. LifeCore consists of weekly discipleship meetings initiated by student leaders called Discipleship Leaders. RENDER. a student-led chapel ministry, is yet another on-campus ministry to get involved with.

The CCL is a program where you as a student are surrounded by individuals who constantly want to dive deeper into faith and are constantly wanting to learn more about the Bible! That’s been amazing to me!
