Position Purpose
Position Purpose
North Central University is a Christ-centered, Bible-based, Pentecostal school with a commitment to academic excellence that prepares students to fulfill biblical models of leadership and ministry throughout the world.
The primary responsibility of the faculty member in Pastoral Ministry is to teach undergraduate classes. Candidates for this position will typically teach, as assigned, a variety of common pastoral ministry department courses as part of Pastoral Ministry, Biblical and Theology, and Youth, Children, Family Ministry programs. A typical teaching load consists of four 3-credit classes per semester. Job duties also include academic advising of students, active participation in college committees, working as a team member in the School of Ministry & Worship, working collaboratively with other faculty and the college administration, active involvement in recruiting activities for new students, and participation in and contribution to the general college community.
Duties include teaching undergraduate courses, curriculum development, advising and mentoring students, departmental and institutional committee work, and relevant scholarly activity. Determination of Rank and Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Job Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- U.S. citizen; all courses are face-to-face residential
- Minimally an earned Master of Divinity or Master of Biblical Theology
- Credentialed in the Assemblies of God
- Industry experience and previous college teaching experience desirable, including senior pastor experience
- All faculty members are expected to be committed Christians, model a consistent Spirit-filled life, be considerate of the Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God, be a member in good standing of their local church, and abide by the Community Life Standards of the University.
